Adam Hawk received his BFA in metalsmithing and computer arts from Memphis College of Art and his MFA in blacksmith from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Hawk’s current work is a response to forms found in both urban and natural settings focusing on the theoretical ideals of art versus craft. His work has recently been exhibited at the National Ornamental Metal Museum, Appalachian Center for Crafts, Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, and the Fuller Craft Museum. Hawk is an instructor of 3D Design and Introduction to Metalsmithing at Memphis College of Art.
